Engineering Paddler Designs

EPD have considerable skill in developing a conceptual design to carry an outline design / idea / proposal through to a stage where it has been completely evaluated. A conceptual design will firm up the design characteristics, i.e. wave heights, details of structures, interactions with other structures or water bodies, firm up construction details and methods etc as well as provide a detailed estimate of the cost of the proposed works.

The report will address planning issues, if required, look at 3rd party concessions, and will form the basis from which detailed design can take place. It will also suggest a procurement method and funding sources. The report can also include a business and development plan if required.

The conceptual design will highlight the details of the scheme and is the principle document involved in any fundraising activities.

From the conceptual design the detailed design can commence. EPD can take the full scheme through to construction with detailed engineering drawings, specification and contract documents for the appointment and supervision of a construction contractor.
